Quilled Easter Eggs

These are just two of the Easter gifts I've made this year.

Chicks are so cute and came from a little set from Hobbycraft.
The eggs are a combination of plastic egg shells and foam eggs.  I used quilling to make the designs on them, a long process, but worth the brilliant effect they gave.  They all have a flowery/ spring theme to them but i decided to go for brighter colours, just for fun.  The grass is also quilled, and the base just some good old pretty card with grass patterns on them.  This project was a lot of hard, fiddly work, but the look on peoples faces is always worth it.

Some Home Décor

When we moved into this house, the decorating was not exactly to our taste, so the first thing we did was change the living room.  The only thing we kept was the wall lights, however they were a rather 'lovely' bright orange colour before I got my hands on them.  So starting with a pale cream colour as a base, and using various parts of stencils I applied this rather lovely willowy pattern with birds and little pink flowers.  All done with just a couple of colours and some cotton buds, but now is the pride of my living room.

Parents' Anniversary Gift

Home-made gift basket for Mam and Dad's wedding anniversary 2011.

Simple little job this one, base is made from cardboard wrapped in coloured paper.  The a variety of toiletries, spa gifts and chocolates arranged and stuck into place with foam pads, the wrapped in good old cellophane wrap and tied with curled ribbon.  Topped off with a mini bouquet of silk flowers for a little girly touch.  Needles to say, my parents loved it!

Once Upon A Time

LETS GET STARTED!

Quick introduction to what I'm aiming for with this, firstly this will be a record of my crafting and creations for me to look back on, and secondly, its always nice to share your work when you've put so much into it.
So I guess well get started with some of my previous projects.  I only wish I'd taken more photos of things I'd done because the ones I have photos of aren't necessarily my best... but they're a good start and I'll keep better records from now on.
